Complies with the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendation: the high density polyurethane foam helps prevents suffocation if the baby accidentally roles over and places his/her face against it.

The American Academy of Pediatrics, 1992 “Back-to-Sleep campaign” reduced the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) incidence but the Flat Head Syndrome (Plagiocephaly) frequency sky rocked. Cranial asymmetry may be present at birth or may develop during the first few months of life. Over the past several years, pediatricians have seen an increase in the number of babies with cranial asymmetry (Plagiocephaly) , particularly unilateral flattening of the occiput. Although associated with some risk of deformational Plagiocephaly, healthy young infants should be placed down for sleep on their backs for SIDS prevention. This practice has been associated with a dramatic decrease in the incidence of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
Most of the babies’ head flattening (Plagiocephaly) occur during the first 3 months of life when the baby’s skull is malleable, and as they lay most of the time on a firm mattress.
This is primarily the main cause of flat head (Plagiocephaly), as infants spend more time on the back of the head increasing pressure to the area.
THE LIFENEST®:
•
HELPS PREVENT the FLAT HEAD SYNDROME (Plagiocephaly) by providing your baby’s head with comfortable supportive netting allowing the baby’s head to move freely. The skull contact surface increase redistributes the pressure, reducing the risk of Flat Head. Your baby will be able to breathe freely though the netting during tummy time, making tummy time safer. Tummy time is recommended by Pediatricians to reduce Flat Head (Plagiocephaly) risk.
•
Helps prevent
overheating and
